Welder

We are looking for a Welder for our Acheson, Alberta location. This is a permanent full time position.

Profile:
- Metal Welder (Registered Apprentice) (NOC: 7265)
- Experience in tank manufacturing is an asset
- Minimum 1st period apprentice or 2nd period apprentice is required
- Post secondary training form a recognized  technical program
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work, public transit is not available 

Responsibilities:
- Tank maintenance, repair and new fabrication
- Custom fabrication
- Weld in areas with confined space entry
- Job task planning and organizing
- Following required safety protocols
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment


Skills & Abilities:
- Able to weld stainless steel, steel, iron and heavy metals, aluminum alloys
- Stainless welding experience is required
- Mig welding experience is required
- Able to lift 13.5 kg (30 lbs.)
- Able to perform physically demanding repetitive tasks
- Possesses manual dexterity and good hand eye coordination
- Able to stand for extended periods

- Able to speak, read and write in English
- Able to communicate in a team environment
- Problem solving, critical thinking and decision making



Intermediate Mechancial Design Engineer - Manufacturing

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Acheson, Alberta location. This is a permanent full time position.

Profile:
- 7+ years of mechanical design experience
- Proven self starter with a strong work ethic, high energy and a positive attitude

 
Responsibilities:
- Making recommendations based on sound engineering principles, practices and judgment pertaining to specific engineering problems as a contribution to the overall engineering and manufacturing objectives.
- Performing engineering calculations to determine the size and strength of parts and assemblies, solving design problems and checking computations contributing to analytical designs.

Developing efficient designs which are optimized to our production capacity and where possible using standard parts.
-
Preparing engineering design and details of components parts, as assigned, for the design, costing and construction of tanks and trailers.
- Submitting designs to regulatory bodies for registration and approval.
- Keeping informed of engineering, regulatory and technological developments and maintaining membership in technical societies.

Supporting production (cost reduction projects, fixtures and process improvement)


Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to manage your time effectively
- Finished work is professional and accurate
- Able to prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines
- Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent software program
- Proficient in MS Access, Excel, Outlook and Word
- Knowledge of the Dangerous Goods Act (CSA B620-03) and National Safety Mark is an asset

Requirement:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in a production environment

Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada or eligible to apply for membership




Trailer Mechanic

We are looking for a Trailer Mechanic for our Acheson, Alberta location. This is a permanent full time position.

Profile:

- Mechanic / Repairer (Heavy Equipment Technician ? Trailer Mechanic) (NOC: 7312)
- Minimum 2  years experience in trailer repair and service
- Post secondary training form a recognized  technical program
- Possess Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Alberta Vehicle Inspection Technician License

Must have reliable transportation to and from work, public transit is not available

Responsibilities:

- Maintenance, repair and service trailers
- Replacing parts and conducting repairs
- Conducting inspections and checks on transport trailer vehicles
- Diagnose repairs required
- Complying with all set industry safety norms and other quality measures while conducting work processes

- Following required safety protocols

Skills & Abilities:

- Able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs.)
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Attention to detail is a requirement
- Able to speak, read and write in English
- Able to communicate in a team environment
- Problem solving, critical thinking and decision making
- Able to communicate both orally and written with a keen eye for detail
